About My Work
My work is focused upon urban-based life; what it creates and, perhaps, more so on what it leaves behind. Surrounded by Baltimore's intrinsic beauty, I am drawn to the visual history I see in dilapidated and forgotten buildings. Each building has its own story to tell.
In 2002 I began seriously shooting urban scenes. I quickly realized that people themselves would not be my subject, but rather the places they lived and worked. I enjoy exposing places most people would consider worn or abandoned.
While the absence of people is my subject, when I’m working, I enjoy the remnants and evidence of people’s interaction with the deserted spaces. Worn objects, graffiti and obsolete items are the focal point.
